ARTICLES OF FAITH

Scriptures
1. WE BELIEVE in the verbal, complete, and total inspiration and authority of the Holy Scriptures
(II Timothy 3:16; II Peter 1:21).
Trinity
2. WE BELIEVE in the Holy Trinity; one God eternally existing in three Persons ... God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit (Matthew 3:16-17; I John 5:7).
Virgin Birth
3. WE BELIEVE in the virgin birth of Jesus Christ (Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:18-25).
Christ's Atonement
4. WE BELIEVE in Christ’s death on the cross and His shed blood as the only sacrifice for sin (Romans 3:25; Hebrews 9:12).
The Resurrection
5. WE BELIEVE in the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:6; Mark 16:6).
Second Coming Of Christ
6. WE BELIEVE in the personal and imminent return of Jesus Christ (Acts 1:11; I Thessalonians 4:14-16).
Regeneration
7. WE BELIEVE in the new birth, that being born again is necessary for salvation (John 3:3; I Peter 1:23).
Salvation By Grace Through Faith
8. WE BELIEVE that salvation is not dependent upon works of the flesh (Ephesians 2:8-9; Titus 3:5), but comes to any who by faith receive Jesus Christ as personal Savior (John 1:12; John 3:16).
Eternal Security
9. WE BELIEVE in the blessed assurance and eternal security of all believers who have personally received Jesus Christ (John 10:27-28; I John 5:11-13).
Church Ordinances
10. WE BELIEVE in two church ordinances:
(1) Baptism (Acts 2:41; Romans 6:3-4), and
(2) The Lord’s Supper (Luke 22:19-20; I Corinthians
11:23-26). These ordinances are not a means of, nor essential to, salvation.
Holy Living
11. WE BELIEVE in believers living a separated life (Romans 12:1-2; II Corinthians 6:14).
Tithing
12. WE BELIEVE in tithing (Malachi 3:8-10; I Corinthians 16:2).
Soul-Winning
13. WE BELIEVE in soul-winning (Proverbs 11:30; James 5:20).
Heaven & Hell
14. WE BELIEVE in a literal Heaven (John 14:2-3; II Corinthians 5:1), and a literal Hell (Luke 16:23; Revelation 20:15).
The Rapture
15. WE BELIVE in the bodily resurrection of the dead; the believer to everlasting blessedness and joy with the Lord (I Corinthians 15:51-55; I Thessalonians 4:17; Revelation 21:4); the unbeliever to judgment and everlasting conscious punishment (Matthew 25:41-46; Revelation 20:11-15).
Separation Of Church And State
16. WE BELIEVE in separation of Church and State (Matthew 22:21; Acts 5:27-29).
